TOP 5 WEDNESDAY | FAVOURITE FIRST SENTENCES

In this Top 5 Wednesday we discuss our favourite first sentences in a book. Now there were only two first sentences which I immediately knew I was going to mention. For the other three I had to open almost every book and read the first sentence of and be the judge. Here are my 5 favourite first sentences.

In Rebel of the Sands we meet Amani. Amani is not your stereotypical kind of girl from Dustwalk. She is quite the rebel, who knows how to handle a gun. She wants to get away from Dustwalk and her live there. One day she encounters a boy, things happen, and she is on the run, away from Dustwalk, fleeing the Sultan's army. 

This is the second book for me that I read that is set in the Arabic world. I am enjoying this world so much as well as the fantasy elements that come with it, for example: Djinns. I find them so fascinating and I love the fact that we get to know a lot about Arabic legends (made-up or not). 

The world building and character building in this book is great. I now also have my first book-crush ever, I love Jin!

This book is the first in a new series and I can't wait for the next book to come out. For so far I know 'Traitor to the Throne' will come out the 2nd of February 2017, according to Goodreads. I am also so curious about the cover, it is probably gonna be as beautiful as this one!
